Student Testimonials:
I really enjoyed this course and had fun thinking about how I will use what I learned with my students. It is usually a challenge for me to think about how to use the material with such a young group, but that's part of the fun. I also know  that this age group is so hungry to learn and that early literacy is a very important part of their preschool experience.  Reading to my students is my favorite thing to do and I try very hard to instill a love and passion for books within them.
---Pre-K teacher, Tigard

My curriculum will have more engaging introductions, ways to make connections between activities and inspiration for art projects from the folk tales we read! Thank you for all of the activities that made me search past my own library to see what great stories are out there :)

This class has been so helpful and so much fun. The most exciting realization for me is knowing that I can incorporate children's literature into my ELD lessons even in the short amount of time I am with my students. I can use read alouds during the beginning of the unit as an introduction and throughout the unit to reinforce concepts. The best part of this class is now I have nine lessons ready to go.
